HOMESTEAD DAY, JUNE 12, 2010
Our next event is June 12, 2010, Homestead Day on Penderlea.
Please join us to celebrate our theme this year, "The
Families of Penderlea." The festivities begin at
11:00 A.M. A barbecue plate lunch will be served following
the program that includes music by the renowned "Gospel
Lites". We=92ll have hay rides for the children
in our newly restored farm wagon, a quilting demonstration
by the Quilters-By-the-Sea from Wilmington, and displays
of household artifacts, tools and implements. Raffle
tickets will be on sale for a super deluxe gas grill,
the proceeds going towards our National Register of
Historic Places Fund. For more information, please see

Penderlea Homestead
Museum Cookbook
Recipes
and Remembrances is a cookbook which was designed
to honor the original settlers of the Penderlea Homesteads.
It includes recipes and memories contributed by families
of those original settlers, members of the present community
at large, and special friends and extended families.
Proceeds benefit the Penderlea Homestead Museum, a non-profit
organization.

Mail order purchases will be shipped upon receipt of
money order or personal check made out to Penderlea
Homestead Museum. The price of the cookbook is $12,
or two for $20. Please add $5.00 for postage and handling.
